Editable Information |
| Welcome to the "live document" section of our website. This section works on "wiki" principles, using simple codes to do things like make new pages or documents (see the manual and, when in editing mode, there is a simple wysiwyg editor available to make entering text as easy as with a word processor. Registered Users of the site can try out this "wiki" system using the "Start Page "; you may start a new document from that page too. A document started from there may be edited by all registered users. All current documents can be accessed by clicking on the links in the Page Index below. Please keep that which you write appropriate to the nature of this site and be aware that minors may read it. Consider all pages to have a "U-Rating" which will be strictly applied. If in doubt, please contact the webmaster for advice before editing any documents. The system is best suited to documents upon which several people might wish to collaborate or where information might be added gradually over time. A good example of the latter is the Association's History, which hasn't been previously been updated or reprinted in hard-copy since our Centenary in 1993. Bob Hardy has started the ball rolling and others will join in. Hopefully, this will let us keep it more up-to-date in future Given the importance of the Association History, access to it for editing purposes is controlled and users of the site are not granted permission for this upon first registration. This is not meant to limit those who can contribute; it is done to preserve the integrity of the document. If you wish to join in and contribute to the Association History document, i.e. you feel you can improve it, either with new content or matters of factual accuracy, then please contact the webmaster so that the necessary permissions can be set. | |
