Sunday 4th February sees Wales play Ireland in the Six Nations and Sunday 25th February sees the Carling Cup, both events being at the Millennium Stadium. There may well be no evening ringing at St John's on these two dates. Watch this space!

Hi,

Following some feedback (much appreciated, btw), the date formats on the site are now in UK format, i.e. DD/MM/YYYY.

The only one that I know that's not quite right is the Events/Calendar where dates 1 through 9 do not seem to have a leading "0". I'll try to sort this but, given its date-based functionality, this might take a bit of searching through the code for the correct setting

Give me a day or so............

The Monmouth Branch AGM is scheduled to be held on the 27th January at Chepstow. The format for the afternoon will be as follows:

3pm - Ringing at Chepstow (10 bells)
4.30pm - Service
5pm - Tea/Meeting
Ringing after the meeting will be at Mathern (6 bells).

For those who haven't been to Chepstow before the location of the church can be found here:

www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.6426&;lon=-2.6718&scale=25000&icon=x

From memory, there is a large car park near the church.

The dedication service for the rehung bells at Skenfrith is now confirmed for Sunday 14th January at 2pm. The Bishop of Monmouth will be presiding.

Following the service there will be refreshments and general ringing. The ringing before the service will be by the local band only. There will also be general ringing on Monday 15th January from 7pm-9pm as is the anniversary date of the previous dedication.

Please could anyone who is planning to attend either the service or the general ringing on the Monday please just drop me a line to let me know? The local band would like to have some idea of numbers for both events. Either reply to this message, PM me or e-mail me at monmouthmaster@llanmon.org.uk

Many thanks.

Matthew

I inadvertently deleted a user account this afternoon - pressed the wrong button

The account hadn't been activated at the time, so if you've registered but can't activate your account then this is why. Please register again.

Sorry.

Hi,

The system doesn't allow new users to set usernames with spaces, e.g. "Joe Bloggs", at the time of registration.

However, usernames can be altered, so if you would like to use your real name then register/activate your account and let me know if you want your username altered.

Finally, and after a few months beavering away behind the scenes, the Association's new website is ready and live to the world. Phew

The new website has its own built-in Forums which replace the old ones and the website is now integrated rather than being on two different servers.

I hope that this will encourage people to join in and, over the coming months, people will take some of the workload off me by entering items of news, etc.

Please take your time and have good look around the site. Speaking personally, I'm particularly pleased with the Events calendar and the "wiki" system under "Editable Information".

Please feel free to let me know what you think (so long as it's constructive ) - please use Website Feedback section on these Forums.

Due to falling plaster that occurred during a peal rung on Saturday ( I shalln't say who was ringing!!), we are now banned from ringing the bells until various surveys have been undertaken. Practices on a Monday night will be at Llanarth until further notice.
