Thought this might be of interest (taken from the RW website):

Ringing World Online Access

If you would like to read The Ringing World each week but don't like the idea of paper copies piling up, you will be pleased to know that on-line only subscriptions have recently been introduced at a rate that is rather lower than that for the paper version. On-line only subscribers can download each issue as a searchable PDF direct from the Ringing World website www.ringingworld.co.uk. The annual subscription is £45 (or £42 if paid by Direct Debit from a UK bank account). To purchase a subscription go on to the Ringing World website, click on “Purchase/donate” and select your preferred method of payment. On-line subscriptions are only available to individual subscribers and not for tower copies.

If you are not sure whether or not to subscribe, you can read a summary of the articles in each week’s issue free of charge on the website. It is hoped that this will persuade you to take out a subscription.

For more information, please see www.ringingworld.co.uk/purchase/38-subscriptions.html

A reminder that due to a play in the Castle grounds there is no practice at St John's on Thursday July 1st.

Instead, we intend to go to Wagamama (Cardiff Library) for a meal at 7.00 pm. This is in the course of being arranged and not confirmed yet. If you would like to join us please contact me a.s.a.p. both for knowing numbers and also so that I can keep you informed. For anyone who does not have my contact details you will find them under Association Peal Recorder.

All,

As you may be aware, the Petertide Ordination takes place at St Woolos next Saturday. This year there are two services at 10.00am and 2.30pm (not 2.00pm as has been advertised previously) due to the large number of ordinands and the "crowd control" issues experienced last year.

As is normal everyone is invited to ring before the services (ringing at 9.15am and 1.45pm) particularly if someone from your parish is to be ordained.

A list of ordinands can be found at http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/monmo ... rtideOrdinations2010.html

Regards

Tom Mayes

Hi,

I've just acquired a new computer (bye bye Mr Gates ) and am still trying to work out a way of importing my Windows Vista Contacts list to the new machine.

In the meantime, please could those of you who think/know you are in my contacts list send me an email so that I can rebuild my list manually if needs be?

TIA

Please note that the Llandaff Festival runs from 5th to 13th June 2010 inclusive. As a result, there are some changes to our usual ringing arrangements. These can be found on the News page of the tower website.

It is planned to use the Association's CCTV system to relay live pictures from the ringing chamber to the Cathedral's knave during Service ringing. We are grateful to the Association for the loan of this equipment.

As always, visitors are most welcome to join us for open ringing.

Many thanks

The St John's Day evening service planned for Thursday June 24th is unlikely to take place as we have no vicar. Practice that evening will now be as normal : 19h30 - 21h00. Please watch this forum for any future update.

The following Thursday, July 1st, there will be no practice so as to avoid disrupting a play in the Castle grounds. We propose having a curry instead that evening, to replace the one we had planned for the previous week.

There is to be a QP attempt before evensong on Sunday June 6th as a farewell to several CSBS students who will be leaving Cardiff at the end of the academic year. As a consequence there will be no open ringing that evening.
