Association and Branch News and Notices:: Monmouth Branch AGM
The Monmouth Branch AGM which is scheduled for Saturday 24th January at Michaelston-y-Fedw. For those that haven't been to Michaelston
before the location of the tower can be found here:

The programme for the day is as follows:

3pm - Ringing
4.30pm - Service
5pm - Tea and Meeting
6.30pm (ish) - Evening ringing at Bassaleg (there is an event in the village hall at Michaelston that evening)

I've been advised as follows:

"The Llandaff Branch Practice will be at COITY (not Baglan as advertised) on Saturday 3 January 2009 at 2.30PM-4.30PM. A short committee meeting will follow the practice, in the church."

After one false start (just over a course in, dunno what went wrong ) we were successful:

Good effort all round and nice to see a smattering of "firsts" of one sort or another

The fund-raising is going well and there is a fair wodge of "off-line donations" to be added.

However, the main reason for posting is to say a very public "thank you" to the Association for loan of the CCTV equipment and perhaps an even bigger "thank you" to those towers who have supported us ...

Just to let you know that the "Editable Information" part of the site has today been considerably updated.

It should look exactly the same; the changes are to the behind-the-scenes architecture of the software to make future updates and the addition of new features easier. Better still, some things which didn't work properly before now work as intended

Please feel free to login and have a "play"; the Document Start Page is as good a place to start as any

On that page there is a link to "The Manual"; this tells you how to start and edit pages, etc. It's easy ...

The next Monmouth Branch practice is scheduled for Saturday 20th December at St Mellons beginning at 3pm. For those that haven't been to St Mellons before, the location of the tower can be found here:

Its best to park on the road and walk up the church drive rather than leave cars at the top of the drive. St Mellons are a really pleasant ring of 6, having been rehung and retuned in 2006.
